Yoga Cucina Shipwrecked Itinerary

 

Join us in the wild seclusion of Steele’s Island, Tasmania for Yoga Cucina Shipwrecked, a weekend of intelligent yoga, local produce and exquisite wine – June 4-6, 2021.

Our own private island is home for the weekend, just off the South East Coast of Tasmania. A tranquil 45 minute trip from Hobart, Steele's is sheltered by bay on one side, and estuary, bluff and beach on the other – promising uninterrupted sunrises and sunsets all year round.

With well protected evidence of past Indigenous inhabitants dating back forty thousand years, majestic Mount Wellington in the distance, and the call of sea birds over the water, this is the perfect place for a winter adventure.

Each day will be punctuated by two intelligent, playful and thoughtful yoga classes with Claire Blackwood, followed by guided meditation. The best seasonal produce will adorn the table, and each evening will be doused in a generous splash of our favourite local and international wines.

THE ITINERARY

FRIDAY, JUNE 4, 2021

5.30pm: Kicks off your Uggs, stow your canoe and join us in the yoga hall for an invigorating yoga flow.

7pm: Freshen up for aperitivo followed by a delicious seasonal fiesta, carved and charred from local farms and paired with matching Tasmanian wines.


SATURDAY, JUNE 5, 2021

9am: Stoke your inner flame with a warming yoga session.

11am: Sidle up to the table for a yummy brunch.

12pm: Brace yourself for a dip in the bay, drag your racket to the tennis court or toast your toes in the sauna.

2pm: Turn up your sleeves for a roll your own cooking class.

4pm: Roll into a gentle yoga flow with guided meditation.

7pm: In the words of American comedian, juggler and writer WC Fields, “I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food”. Dinner time.

8am: Get tail down, vibes up in a final yoga practice before you hit the road.
